IMP Pushes Button on 54,000 sq ft Building at Blythe Valley Park

IM Properties (IMP) is building on the success at Blythe Valley Park (BVP), delivering the largest stand-alone Grade A office building currently available on the M42.

The 53,882 sq ft, 01 Blythe Gate, was strategically acquired from a long term occupier in 2018 and is now undergoing a £5 million refurbishment due for completion in summer 2019.

The investment follows the recent letting success of both Trigen and One Central Boulevard, attracting some of the region’s most high profile and innovative companies to BVP including Gymshark, PKF Cooper Parry, Wavenet and GKN Aerospace.

01 Blythe Gate presents a fantastic headquarters opportunity given its prominent location and setting on the park.

Particular attention is being paid to the outside space and its connection to the surrounding environment. First class bike and shower facilities are also being installed for staff who enjoy cycling to work or going for a lunchtime run.

Rob Hemus, asset director at IM Properties said 01 Blythe Gate is the next step in the evolution of BVP, and IMP’s investment into another best-in-class, high quality office building, underlining the company’s confidence in the park’s future.

“BVP has gone from strength to strength since we took ownership in 2014 and become a big success story for the region and IMP, with nearly 3500 people now working there.

“With limited supply on the M42 corridor, 01 Blythe Gate will have great appeal for occupiers with nothing of this scale or standard currently available.”

Located at junction 4 of the M42, BVP boasts great connectivity to nearby stations and Birmingham Airport. Having established itself as the Midlands’ first truly mixed-use schemes, with residential developers’ Bloor Homes and Crest Nicholson now on site, BVP has also gained a new bus service, which better connects new neighbourhood areas.
