As we make our way into Spring after a tumultuous 12 months since last Spring, we’d like to report on the ways in which Blythe Valley Park has and continues to nurture nature on site. Tackling “Blue Monday” and the “January Blues”

Every year, the third Monday of January is dubbed “Blue Monday”. This term originates in 2004 – Psychologist Cliff Arnall was asked by travel firm “Sky Travel” to create a formula for the “January blues” and to determine the best day to book a holiday during this time. His theory is based on the idea that it’s at this time of year when we’re dealing with colder weather, darker days/nights, are tightening the purse strings post-Christmas, and haven’t stuck to any new year’s resolutions that we had committed to.
